Admission Procedure

  • Fill out the application form and send it to the school. Follow the admission criteria for the grade level that your child is applying for.
  • Pay an admission test fee of AED 350.
  • Attend the entrance exam and the interview with the Student Support Services specialist. The exam and the interview evaluate the child’s academic level and needs.
  • Receive the admission offer and pay a seat reservation fee of AED 1500.
  • Complete formalities and submit completed documents including the previous year’s report card and leaving certificate attested by the local education authorities in the country of study, the Ministry of Education, and the UAE embassy. Submit the medical file to the clinic, confirm the transportation registration, and sign an undertaking to submit any pending documents.
  • Pay the tuition fees, receive the uniform coupon, and collect the uniform from the vendor.
  • Join the class once the registration on the KHDA portal is complete and the KHDA parent contract is signed.

End-of-year attested school report from the previous school. The report should show the grade, date, academic year, and results. In addition, UK Standard examination results should be provided if the child has attended a British Curriculum school

International Students

ADMISSION CRITERIA AGE REQUIREMENTS

Admission Criteria

  • The student must fulfill the entrance assessment and interview requirements.
  • The student must be able to benefit from participation in the programs offered by the school.
  • The student should normally have school reports showing good conduct and motivation.
  • The student and the family must be willing to abide by the policies of the school.
  • The family must demonstrate sufficient commitment and approval of the school’s guiding values, vision, and mission statements to become members of the school community. They must agree to and sign the parent contract.
  • The family must accept the fee structure of the school in all its aspects and demonstrate the ability to pay the fees over some time. Fees must be paid before the start of each term.
  • Any student’s date of birth must correspond to the required grade according to MoE and KHDA regulations. Children who are four years old on the 31st of August of the admission year will be admitted to the first Kindergarten level (KG 1).

Age Requirements

  • The students should meet the age criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Education and the KHDA. No exceptions are allowed.
  • The student’s age as of 31st August 2024 needs to be as follows:

  • If a student is older than the age requirement and has not attended school before or was previously enrolled in a lower grade, a demotion request needs to be signed by the parent and approved by the KHDA before enrolling the student.
  • A student who was enrolled during the previous year in a school or nursery in the UAE is required to submit a school leaving certificate and will be registered according to their leaving certificate.

Promotion and Demotion

Grades 1 to 9:

If the student completed the previous year in the UAE, they will be registered according to their leaving certificate and the following criteria:

  • UAE / American / another 12-year program: no change in grade level
  • British 13-year program: equivalent grade level as per KHDA and MoE guidelines.

Grades 10 to 12:

If the student completed the previous year in the UAE, they will be registered according to their leaving certificate and the following criteria:

  • UAE / American / another 12-year program: no change in grade level
  • Any other curriculum: equivalent grade level as per an equivalency certificate issued by the Ministry of Education

International Students:

If the student completed the previous year outside the UAE, they need to submit their previous year’s report card and leaving certificate attested by the local education authorities in the country of study, the Ministry of Education, and the UAE embassy. Students applying from a 12-year UK curriculum school from abroad are admitted based on the attested credentials and according to the age criteria.

Inclusion and Special Educational Needs

  • The school welcomes students of determination and is committed to providing them with quality education and support.
  • The school will not refuse admission to a student based only on their experience of SEND or require a medical diagnosis as a condition for admission.
  • The school will make reasonable adjustments to its admission procedures and provisions to accommodate the needs of students who experience SEND.
  • The school will use the information provided by the parents and the Student Support Services specialist to determine whether it can meet the child’s needs and what kind of support or accommodations are required.
  • The school will comply with its legal and moral responsibilities under UAE law and the Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework.
